The one who started it all. Kitty had a love of all animals large and small since she could breathe. She began taking care of the animals in her neighborhood at an early age. Thus began Camp Kitty. With her mom as her chauffer, she expanded her range from "around the corner" to all around town and beyond. Kitty is now a New Jersey licensed Animal Control Officer, and she has a loyal and trustworthy group of local ladies who care for countless animals in the area.
Carolyn is the glue that holds this business together. She is the mother of the businesses originator, Kitty, and is the Operations Manager. She is a lifelong animal owner and lover. She is well versed in caring for any and all types of animals, including livestock, rodents, and lizards and any domesticated pets. She is exceptionally caring and loving, and will treat your animals as if they were hers.
Tara is a special education teacher but has always been very active with her dogs; training in obedience, agility, fly ball, and therapy. She has been involved in pet therapy for over 30 years. Her family has also raised two pups for The Seeing Eye & they are currently planning on raising another one. In addition, her family loves hiking and have been section hiking the Appalachian Trail. Tara and her family shares their home with Springer (their dog), Flerken (their Himalayan who has survived FIP due to Tara's expert intervention), Atticus (their mane coon kitten) and Moochie (their second Himalayan)
Our soft spoken Mel was born and raised in Hopewell Township and shares her home with her soon-to-be husband and their three dogs. Mel worked in animal care for almost a decade between a local vet and volunteering at the local animal shelter.
Melanie is currently out on maternity leave.
Sari is a graduate of Hopewell Valley Central High School. She loves the adventure of hiking, kayaking and exploring the outdoors and is currently employed an an environmental educator. Her rescue pup, Nessa, is never far away and lives to share in her adventures.
Morgan is a current student who literally spent her entire life with animals. She spent years as a 4-H goat handler and lives in Hopewell Valley with her family which includes dogs, cats, and in the past goats, rabbits, hamsters and chickens.
Amanda has four "babies" at home; a cat named Kitty, a dog named Skunk, and two rabbits, Toby and PJ. She is currently enrolled at Rutgers University in a Masters Program for Rehabilitation Counseling. She loves animals of all shapes and sizes.
Liz graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School and Rutgers University where she graduated with degrees in Biology and German. Now living in NYC with her cat Cronk, Liz serves as our social media specialist and assists with the daily operations.
Janice is a full time veterinary technician and has had a passion for caring for animals from a young age. She has worked on horse farms caring for up to 50 horses and managing small private farms. She has two Miniature Australian Shepherds with whom she trains and competes in agility. Her older mini has been nationally ranked in his breed and has taken her to her first national competition placing in the top 30 out of hundreds of competitors. She enjoys spending time with her dogs and other dogs she trains. Janice firmly believes in giving every dog a positive and enjoyable experience, whether it’s a walk around the block or a little extra attention.
Originally from Massachusetts, Adrienne is a life long horse lover and has been working with animals since she was a child.
Adrienne has dedicated her life to helping animals and pursed a career as a certified Veterinary technician.
She has been practicing for over 20 years and has extensive experience with horses, livestock, dogs and cats.
She has been fortunate to have variety in her career with experience in shelter and rescue medicine to working for the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Adrienne has also spent the past 17 years in veterinary pharmaceuticals as a pharmacovigilance professional and resource for veterinary clinics worldwide.
When not at work, Adrienne spends time with her retired racehorse, Romeo and her Irish Wolfhound, Bridget.
She enjoys learning more about about equine bodywork and saddle fitting and is currently studying with the Society of Master Saddlers Guild.
Belinda Ogitis who many refer to as Bo, grew up in Paris, Texas. She lived on a farm that had horses, cows, chickens and of course dogs and cats. She got her own horse at 13 and quickly got involved in barrel racing and the drill team in the rodeo world. She went to college in California and graduated with a degree in Exotic Animal Training & Management/ Animal Behavior. She took a job at Marine World Africa USA caring for various types of animals and performing shows for large audiences. She then moved back to the east coast and worked at Philadelphia Zoo beforegetting her ACO certification and settling in at the Township. She has served as the Animal Control Officer for The Township Of Hopewell since April of 2000. She also was in the first class to be Certified Animal Cruelty Investigators. For the most part, Belinda is the only officer for the 66 square miles the Valley encompasses. She handles injured, sick animals domestic and wild and stray animals that have gotten loose or lost their way. Much of her work is with wildlife- from orphan babies to snakes, to bats that you have found flying around in your home. She handles all of the pet licensing for Hopewell Township, which is approximately 2500 animals. She is on the NJ Fish and Wildlife Venomous Response Team, which she loves handling all reptiles. She is verse in American Sign Language as she herself is Hearing Impaired. Belinda’s friendly personality, diverse knowledge of different animals, passion for animals, years of experience make her an asset to our staff at Camp Kitty Petsitting. She has been married 26yrs years to her husband Aaron and has 2 beautiful children 16 and 20. Her family and 12 animals of her own are her life.
